We went to BWI the other day because they have a great place for kids to watch airplanes take off and play on some pretend vehicles. If you ever need anything to do with kids, this is a great place to go. I will have pictures soon. Any that is not why I am writing this.
As we pulled up to the parking garage and took our ticket we were faced with three option up, down, or straight and above the direction where the number of cars on that level. For example the middle level, which is the most direct had 10,000 cars and the upper level had only had 5,000.
But that is not the cool part. As we pull into the upper level there are electronic signs that say how many spaces are in each isle!!!! So we could determine if the isle had 3 spots or 1. IT is wonderful. Every place should have them. Pictures to come.
There are sensors at every parking spot that relay the info back counter at the begining of each isle.

I’ve seen this. It’s so helpful and makes operations so much smoother. I would imagine airports host the largest parking lots. But I was just as excited when I saw that, such a simple thing – but SO helpful!

I was blown away when I saw them as well, so simple, but genius.

I guess you are too late to invent it, but towson should have it installed when the did all those renovations. BTW has anyone seen the new towson town logo or identity? I will have to take a picture of it the next time i am around that area.
I think you can only see it from the york rd side.
